Pia Sundhage

Pia Sundhage was an exceptional football player herself. Representing her native Sweden for over two decades, she was part of the team that won the inaugural UEFA Women’s Euro 1984.

As a coach, she has led the United States, Sweden, Brazil and now Switzerland's Women’s National Teams to success. She guided the U.S. and Sweden to Olympic medals (one silver and two gold) between 2008 and 2016, and was also named FIFA World Women's Coach of the year in 2012.

In her current role with Switzerland, she recently led the national team to the quarterfinals of the UEFA Women’s Euro 2025, marking a historic achievement for the host nation.

To this day, she continues to inspire future generations through her leadership and passion for the game, cementing her legacy as one of the most respected figures in women’s football.
